  1. You say you have no intentions of being ff but here in ny alot of the vol ff companys will acually put you threw the emt basic training or whatever training there department requires to be a memeber, but alot of them also require you at least take your ff one course and extractions ya know.... so I know if you join a vol company your not going to get just the basic training,, u'll prob get a insite of ff training as well. Unless you want to be just a paid medic or emt then I know rural metro offers a course for free but they have to accept you first or you have to pay for your own course which is around 700 bucks out here and find a service to apply to., out here in buffalo , ur options are Rural metro, Twin city ( tonawanda , amherst area only), Tri Comunity.... and few others I don't rember right now those are the paid companys but its mostly Vol out here.

  2. your wish is granted you find thos pics of terri and you live happily ever after.

I wish I could fly , so i could poop on all the people that have craped on me, mostly men.

  3. i personaly think even though we check pulse with patient in cardiac arrest, but i think cpr should be continued unless the patient wakes up or says OW!! lol :P , i am stronge believer in continous cpr, keeping everything regular until u get to the hospital , even though i havent done continous i believe in it but i am scared id be wrote up for not checking fo a pulse so i do because thats how it works here were i live.

  4. Nasel intubation is used when a oral airway isnt possiable due to mouth truma , or if the patient has a gog reflex and wont take the oral airway , you have to becarefull with a nasel you can go in the wrong way it should never be forced in. if it doesnt go in the 2 or 3 time resort to bvm if you have to its better for patient safety in my eyes.

  5. Getting a paramedics at 18 or 19 would be pretty hard to do in new york state (where i live) .... and Is almost un heard of in alot of states because. Emt basic maybe but not paramedic most paramedic programs require 2 -4 years of schooling depening on how you go about getting it so highily doubt kids at 18 or 19 are full fledged paramedics they can however be emts basic and perhaps EMT-I , bUT ITS USUALLY 17 WHEN kid graduates high school unless they started kindergarden late or failed a few time, usually kids have been in college 1 or 2 years at age 18 -19 I was already a nurses aide and a emt basic at 19 so to be basic it can be done. and I graduated high shcool when I was 17. and I WAS living on my own had a car , apartment good job at the nursing home and vol at the fire hall. It was hard work but it can be done if your heart is in it fully.
