That is funny.

I loved that show,those two were awesome together.

My service recently just added these to our protocols (Sizes 3-5). The University of Iowa did a research project on the effectiveness of the King LTS-D Airways and showed a 100% success rate on first attempt. So the State of Iowa now allows all levels from First Responder and up to use these. I personally found the King LTS-D to be an excellent alternative to ET intubation and combi-tubes. Iowa also currently allows all levels from FR and up to use the combi-tube which is not as successful. I personally believe that the King LTS-D will be the new Gold Standard for BLS airways.

If you are looking to use these or are currently using these I recommend the King <b>LTS-D</b> because 1) Suction Channel, 2) Distal Cuff was redesigned to have a better seal.

We have now been trained on the king airway,I really like them I think they will be a great replacement from the combi-tube.

The hat looks good on you,but could be very dangerous.

I would not stick my fingers in there to get it out,just the thought of that.

That is way to funny,best one I've heard for awhile.

The calls we get most of is diabetic then cardiac,then maybe assults.Then we also get the really interesting ones also.

Diabetic calls are #1 then probably assult or cardiac a close second.

One gal on our service wears one.

We carry AEDs on our BLS rigs. I know a lot of first responder vehicles that carry them also.

We use the ferno stair chair I like it but I have never used a stryker.

Pre hospital care is often a thankless, take us for granted job. It makes it alot easier to do this job when we hear a thankyou or good job once in awhile. What keeps me likeing the job is knowing that we are needed and doing a good thing by helping others when they need it most.

The service that I work for,I think stating pay for a basic is $11 and tops out at $19 per hour.That is higher than most services but they wanted to be competetive.

Where I work we have mostly assult calls,then probably diabetic calls,cardiac calls,and of course the frequent flyers.

I have never ever heard of th is happening to anyone.But it sure would hurt,hope I never have to deal with that situation.
