UPDATE: Ottawa, Ill Girl Injured in Accident 01/19/2009 One person injured following a crash on Interstate 80 Friday evening. The driver, Leslie Crum 20, of Ottawa was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Peoria after the car she was driving was struck by a semi southbound on I-80 attempting to pass her car. The accident happened near mile marker 69 1/2, which is in LaSalle. The driver of the semi, Edin Grabovac, 26, of Florida, was not injured. Utica, Peru and LaSalle fire and ambulance crews responded. At press release today there were no further updates. The State Police are investigating the accident. St Francis does not provide patient updates.

My daughter took her EMT-B at a community college and had a very hard time. She actually ended up taking the whole class over (after getting a 79.9 her teacher wouldnt round that to an 80, I was quite upset) with an Ambulance service and passed with flying colors, so after her experiance, I would suggest really looking into the college and Ambulance services before you make a desicion

As a nurse working around so many people everyday, I agree that People with any infectuous disease should not be in the health care field at all, if its a danger to them, obviously it will be a danger to not only us, but pts.

Hi Im an RN here in Illinois of 15 years, I work in Home Health right now. My daughter is a user here, EMTBASIC_911_911(thats her) She's an EMT and thinking of going CNA then ASN/RN. I have worked in many different areas including Med/surg, ER and OB.
