They pay us to be medics, not police officers. In my area, the police make more than we do. Why should we do their job?

I hate getting into my truck that has just come back from the shop for the 6th time having the A/C fixed, only to have to down it halfway through the shift for the A/C going out. The mechanic we used is making millions of dollars off of the hospital, and at least three trucks are there at any given time. The 2 trucks we got last year have been out of service for months because of bad mechanics that have political ties to the hospital.
