  1. Honestly your best bet is to go ahead and apply to a few county services near you. While you are waiting on a reply from them, go ahead and apply for a private service in the area. Most private services are just "granny-totes" where you will pick up elderly/disabled people from nursing facilities and take them to doctor's visits. Or transfer them to other facilities. This may sound boring and repetitive, but you will definitely build your patient care skills as well as documentation and vital sign reading. Also alot of county services will look at this as a good bit of experience. Major plus here!
  2. If you wouldnt mind coming a little down south, then i have a great place for you. Guilford County EMS in NC. We run ALS and BLS trucks and a few rescue squads. But we are pretty decent traffic wise. You have calls in a big city, in urban areas, highways and out in the country all in the same county. We are currently hiring Paramedics this fall. You most definitely should at least check it out!
