  1. I know EMS isn't about money, but I still have a hard time understanding how a person can possibly survive on less than $12 per hour. I think there needs to be some adjustments in that system, like I said earlier, in Canada pay is usually well over $30 per hour. Here, it pays more than electricians, plumbers, carpenters... (in most cases)
  2. Where I live is very cheap actually. But there is no doubt that most other parts of Alberta can be pretty expensive.
  3. I can't believe some of these wages either. In Alberta, a 14 year old kid working at McDonalds makes more than most of the wages posted in this forum. An experienced medic where I live makes about $35/hour.

  5. Sorry to go off topic, but you said you are Canadian born and working in Florida.. Just wondering how difficult was it to get your american citizenship and was there a lot involved?
