  1. When I was on the camping trip with him why didn't I say "dude what are you doing, you know we do random drug tests at work."

I might be crazy but I thought doing drugs, which is the technically term for smoking a joint while camping, is illegal. We seem to be treating this like doing 75 in a 55mph.

    1) Yes I give him a heads up, what is he going to do... drink a bottle of canola oil (to get the thc out of his system)?

    2) I didn't pick his name out I just hand out the cups.

Then again I might be the kind of person who didn't know how to do things "recreationally" only"daily"

  2. I'm new here so take it for what it's worth.

I love the scenarios, and was thinking that this 6 pager that everyone had a ton of questions about sounds like in real life would have been one of those pain in the A** calls that everyone complains about.

Could be a lesson to be learned from my perspective, every pt is a scenario that deserves this much thought and care.

  3. I didn't introduce myself because even I don't want to read 100 posts of

    "welcome to the city"

But I will say that I've really enjoyed this site. I was surfin' around another site for a while and

then I started to count the posts.

(topic) who hates everything 18,361 posts

    (topic) scenario 200 posts

and I thought this isn't what I'm looking for.

This site has great topics, especially for those us new to the field.

Students, Taking the test and Scenarios are my favorites.

The spell check is handy also....

    Thanks!

    David

  4. This has been a great thread for me also.

38 (39 Oct 20th) male, starting school next tues, can't wait.

The research I've done shows the median salary around 25K to start. I live in a more rural part of GA so who knows. I think I'll end up working in a more suburban area to get more experience.

I don't know how many hours and ride time we are to do but I know the more the better, on the job experience in this field seems more important then what school you go to.

The third rides I've done hasn't been with the most fit people I've ever met, then again I am a personal trainer by day.

EMT/Medic seems like a great 1st job as long as you have something you can do and fit into the weird work schedule. Add fire training, instructor training and the pay goes up and up. The benefits, pensions and job security all are a +

    Best of luck!
