Looking for Dispatch Job Near Boston

Hi all-

I'm currently licensed as a basic in Massachusetts but can't work in the field right now due to a medical condition. I do however have a strong interest in working as a dispatcher. Does anyone know of private ems agencies near Boston that might hire dispatchers without having them work in the field first? I have worked as a private security dispatcher at a sports arena and am considering taking a dispatch certification class with either APCO or PowerPhone. Would these classes help me? Any other tips or info? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The only accurate answer to that question would come from the HR departments of the companies themselves.

Speaking for my area, all of the local privates hire dispatchers without EMS experience.

The pay can only be described as slave wages in many cases, but that might not be true in the Boston area. It's worth a couple of phone calls anyway.
