Jeepluv77
I'm still learning but given what I know about seizures I'd be interested to know how long it's been since seizing stopped, how long it lasted, type, cause(epilepsy or some other?), and any treatments. We know that a prolonged seizure can cause hypoxia. We know that brain injury(the cause?)/hypoxia(the result) can cause ecg changes. We know that seizures can cause or be caused by electrolyte imbalances. I would have to wonder if some of these changes on the ecg may be temporary results of the seizure activity or indicate the cause of the seizure if this is not an epileptic patient. Can we get a SAMPLE and full set of vitals?
CBEMT
Hmm. How often to seizure patients get 12-leads, anyway? Not something I can honestly say I'd be thinking of, especially in a young otherwise healthy person.
iaff1210
Also I am not sure if this particular ECG machine defaults to 60 y/o, but if you look at the top of the ECG it says 60 not 20...Not that this makes much difference.
