Hi Everyone,
We currently use the book: AAOS 10th edition Emergency Care and Transport of the Sick and Injured in our EMT-B class.
I have discovered they have a wonderful website. If you use this book there is a silver scratch off bar on the front cover that has an access code for full access to the website.
Even if you don't use this book there is a free section that has quizzes and "flash cards" that may help you prepare for your test as well. I've also found that reading the senarios on this site helps too.
Granted I haven't taken the test yet, but I see everyone asking where they can study and I thought this may help. I use it a couple of times a week to make sure I'm caught up and following the lessons.

Thanks for the website, bookmarked for later.

Weird way to do it, but I think the purpose of the exercise was to make people realize how many stereotypes are out there. I think the fact that you were offended by these stereotypes even though you aren't of that race means that this exercise was a success.

Sorry, I see that I have a chat message or request up at the top of the page. I'm not sure if it has something to do with my post but I'm not able to see or respond to it yet as I don't have enough posts.

Hello all,
I'm Nick and I have just graduated from the University of Central Florida. (Well actually not until May 7th, but my classes are done. ) I'm graduating with a Health Sciences degree and plan to enroll into and EMT-B program in the Fall.
I'm from South Miami and am currently looking at two different EMT-B/Paramedic programs in my area and would like some opinions from others who may have experience at either one of them.
The first is American Medical Academy
http://www.amaedu.com/courses.php
The second is Miami-Dade College
http://www.mdc.edu/medical/AHT/EMT/default.asp
I have tons of other questions about EMS in the Miami-Dade/South Florida area I'd love to pick someone's brain about. If you could spare some time it would be greatly appreciated. I can private message your, email, or post them here, which ever you prefer.
Thanks,
Nick
