Is there anywhere I could read some good literature on New Zealand's system? Sounds pretty good.
Same thoughts.

I did a search, but it was last discussed in 2008 as far as I can see. I'm doing a research project and I'd like to know about your progressive EMS system, or one you know of.
What makes it stand out from all other systems? What protocols differ? What makes it cutting edge/advanced? Any new equipment few people have?
Also, part 2 of my questions. In what direction is EMS headed? (ex: Primary Care Paramedics?)
Thanks

Agreed with Mobey. Just out of curiosity, when you checked for pelvic stability, what did your examiner say? While not applicable every time, remember when you see a pelvic injury - the scoop stretcher will provide the best support.

Anyone in/from Massachusetts and have any insight into what services are good/bad, etc? I'm an EMT-Basic.
I got applications today for:
EasCare
STAT New England
Fallon Ambulance
Cataldo Ambulance
Thoughts? Missing anything?

I'm here in Massachusetts, looking to get my Rhode Island EMT-B licensure as well. I'm having difficulty finding the required "EOA/MAST course" in Rhode Island... anyone know any place that teaches it?

I'm moving to MA soon, and will have to take only the written portion of the Mass EMT-B test. I'm currently an NREMT-B, would you say the Mass exam is easier than NR? Harder? Any tips?

New Bedford? Planning on going whaling?
LOL.
Anyway, "Welcome Aboard" the good ship "EMT City".
Haha... perhaps if it were legal. Surprised you're familiar with it. lol
Thanks for the welcome.

Hey guys. I've been lurking the board for quite a while, just got my credentials. I'm new to EMS, but I've been a fan for many years. I'm currently an NREMT-B, waiting for my Texas EMT-B to go through, and this Friday moving to New Bedford, MA, which I'll have to take the test for EMT-B (not an NR recognized state.)
Anyhow, great to be on the forums with you guys, and I'll be positing relatively often. Looking forward to my first official shift. I notice most people are nervous, I'm really not... I'm confident in my training, will work on my patient skills, things will be all well.

I'm looking for information on the private companies in the Raleigh, NC area. The good, the bad, the ugly. Who to work for, who to avoid...
