Just so happens i was talking with my zoll rep today.

my service has had them for several years now. They only work for a very specific pt type (150-250 lbs, 5'5"-6' tall, otherwise relatively health person)

The pt has to be securely strapped to the devise. Zoll is going to be shipping out a lithium battery in the coming months, to take the place of the current batteries which need to be rotated daily. It's a good product, does what it's suppose to do (with practice)

We use it. Seems to work, I've given it a few times since the change over, haven't had an adverse reaction yet. Other than spilling half the bag on the floor the first time. Now I spike it with drip set. No more spill. Lesson learned. We looked into purchasing a small fridge for the rigs. That kinda got shot down for the existing rigs. However future trucks will have a small fridge built in.

Has anyone used either of these products.

Here in MA you can take and pass an EMT-B class as young as you want, but the state will not certify you until you are 18. I did that way. Then 9 years later got medic.
