Okay, observing the ankle....
Look for any puncture marks, cuts, ingrown toenails, etc....if infection has set in, sepsis could have occurred. I didn't see the temp of the pt., but not all people with sepsis have a high temperature. Look for pus-filled areas, green areas, red/pink streaks.
One of the problems I see with this being sepsis is the fact that his blood pressure is so high. The majority of time, with septic pts, is that their b/p is usually lower than normal.

You are so wrong, sometimes they are GOD, his son Jesus, or the arch enemy Satan. I have had all 3 on my ambulance more than once. I hate when Jesus calls me God. That just freaks me out.
LMAO....oh, that just made my day.....

The NREMT has instituted a change ( believe as of 2005-6) that you can simply re-take the registry exam rather than meeting each and every CEU requirement.
AHHH!!! THAT SOUNDS SO HORRIBLE!!!!! I can't imagine taking it again....oh well...Thanks to everyone who responded, I really appreciate it! Hopefully I'll figure out what to do...

Have you tried e-mailing them?
I tried a couple weeks ago, but haven't gotten a reply yet. :x

I took the NREMT last month- the test stopped at 65 questions....thought I bombed the test, but I passed!!
I had a question about the 'continuing education credits' though- I went to the UP-EMS conference, got credits, but can't find any information on where to submit them. I went to the NREMT site, as well as the UP-EMS site, but there isn't anything I can find.
Thanks!
