I've heard of that method but also lowering the extremity to use gravity. They both usually work

If you are already an EMT and not on an ALS truck try to get on one to a least see the differences. Also where you work could be a factor in what you see and or do. Try asking those who just staryed and or finished a medic class and ask them if it was worth it.
