Does this ease pediatric psychological trauma?

Can't see what it would hurt honestly. I don't have any psychological background, but I have never seen an emergency vehicle with out these cute cuddly lil buddies on them

Don't see any need of discussion, just typical diversion therapy. Attempting to displace effect and provide comfort. Don't see any side effects of giving something to a child to cuddle and place trust into. Hospitals, EMS, Police have been doing it for decades now.

I've seen a teddy bear or simple blow-up glove silly face go long way with kids, distracting them from the strange people and environment going on around them.
