Was that diected at me? Have I missed something?? :?

Assuming you are the same "rdenman" (from Norfolk) who posts on the UK forum, who previously enquired about moving to NY to work in EMS...

Never mind, good luck anyway.

I got a visa without any issues at all it was suprisingly quick! I have spent 5 months in WA where my qualifications were automatically reciprocated, I just had to do an ALS course and familiarisation training. I was also enrolled on the final semester of the Bachelor degree as it was a condition of my employment due to the service wanting to move over to an all degree profession. Paramedics aren't registered in Australia at the moment and by making it a degree only profession, ACAP and employers are hoping the government will consider paramedics on a par with nurses.

I am currently studying a Masters Degree in Critical Care and have enough credit and contact hours to finish it by distance learning when I return to the UK.

Australia is a great country but I am not very happy here, England is home and that's where my family is and where I want to be. By all means give it a go, you have nothing to lose but be prepared for a massive culture shock when you get here.
