A good read for those new to EMS

Recommended Posts

Actually, Thom is GREAT people. He has written many many articles that, while not always technically focused, are always people focused, and are always ...uhmm..whats the word...

oh yes...

WISE.

I haven't seen Thom since probably 1988, the last time I went to a JEMS conference. I don't think the guy has been in EMS as long as I have, but he definitely came to see the light a lot earlier than I did. Spending some time with him was a big influence on my professional growth. No matter how experienced you are, everyone in EMS would do well to pay attention to what he has to say.

Becomming and emt was the best thing i've ever done.

People in my family thought I was crazy for taking the class, they all thought i was going to fail, but I passed :D They ask me why I got involved with ems and i just tell them, at the end of the night, when I put my head to the pillow, I'm happy. Even If I just saved one life.

Definitely more exciting than spelling or grammar classes, eh?

ROFL!!! :D

How many do you save in an average day? Two or three?

I'd be tickled to know what your definition of a "save" is.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that what was meant was that if one life is saved in a career, it's worth it. Call me a softy for giving the benefit of the doubt.
