What is the most common call out in your area?

Recommended Posts

In the late 80's our little town was once voted in as one of the top ten places to retire in the US.

Small town nonetheless with a good portion of our population Seniors.

So most of our calls are Geriatrics.

Falls, COPD, Chest Pain, Strokes, Lift Assist, and sick unknown.

Then to keep things interesting there have been a pick up in Overdoses and attempted suicides this winter.

Last winter we had quite a few MVC's but hardly any at all this year. Peope driving safer???

And of course then there are the Diabetic calls... We seem to have plenty of thos around here too.

"Flu-like symptoms" & "Not feeling Well" (most of these come from the 2 NHs in town)

I live in a faily small county, we get a lot of 'code 30 from a fall/mvi' which is possible injury, and 'code55 (sick person)' CP, and SOB mostly, ocaisional unresponsive.

I've been on nights at this station for a few days now. Most common call seems to be... sleeping soundly through the night. I'm hoping it picks up tonight. I'll take low call volumes when I'm getting paid, not when I'm supposed to be consolidating.
