In the class I am currently in, We are going over medical terminology and abreviations. I would say that both are welcome. Please no mnemonics.

Angio is only an abbrviation and a prefix...when combined with something like gram or plasty or cathether it becomes medical terminology. I spent a year taking med terminology. I think emts should have at least a few weeks of it.

I used to teach med - term.. and I agree..it should be a standard for all EMT's starting at the Basic level.
