GA...You seem to be focusing on nudity and foul language...

Would you consider it appropriate to watch (for lack of a better example) the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan? Which as I recall has no nudity or swearing...

If so, why?

As said previously if you do not like the f word or nudity you may be in the wrong profession. We are adults and should be able to watch r rated media and say bad words. my co workers like to "bust balls" so to speak, and we call each other every name in the book.

And for those who participate enjoy it for those that prefer not to Bust balls we leave them alone and they are content. So if seeing breasts on tv offen you at the station when they guys are watching a movie then here is an idea "don't watch".

I agree 100% of not watching porn but come on ! how many action movies are there without swearing, nudity, or violence.

What is next? we are only allowed to watch Sponge bob square pants, and barney marathons?

Walrus

p.s. I LOVE that her reputation dropped to -12 because of trying to get rid of r rated shows lmfao

Ok. A few things.

1. Porn in the workplace is bad. Violence in the workplace is bad. A damn movie? Grow up. As adults, we are all entitled to a few things. As long as everyone in the workplace is sensative to the opinions of others, why does it matter?

2. This is now your second post here posted in part to promote your religious beliefs, without promoting religion. A part of EMS is defined by being able to read between the lines to see a patients real issue. Its rather easy to read between the lines here.

3. This is my last and only nice post. Next time, im going to release the hounds. Stop being a troll and become a productive member of the community.

Thats all...for now.

From my point of view GA has only brought up an issue to be discussed. Throughout he has kept his cool and stuck to the subject he wants to discuss in this thread. I fail to see, at this point, any intent to troll.

As EMS strives for a more professional, respected image, these types of issues will come up.

Remember, intelligent debates rather than schoolyard brawls.

This admin, is why I was nice about it. In his original posting, he was clear in his statements about removing of X and R rated films. It is my opinion that the basis of his statements is what I outlined.

That is unacceptable in an open forum. Forums of this nature are meant for productive discussion of beliefs, not the pushing of beliefs, especially for the reasons I outlined originally.

I, admin, fail to see an opening to debate someone who has yet to present an opinion of the topic based in anything but anecdotal opinion, nothing more.

P.S. Trolling comes in many forms.

GA, here's a situation for you.

I recently acquired Band of Brothers on DVD. I've been bringing it into the station when I'm on. We're currently about halfway through it.

Is that inappropriate?
