EMT-1 & EMT-2 were screwed up enough; WTF would we do with EMT-3 & EMT-4?

I was unaware of a EMT-IV level...till some reading when i saw this thread. That was ma question. Yes of course you are also correct....EMT-2 was messed up as well...

Who knows how many acronyms we can get?... EMS, can dilute itself down more and more... instead of focusing and facing the truth of what is truly needed, we develop more and more dilutions. In this case dilution is not the solution, it would be interesting in seeing the cost of all these programs in lieu of educating EMT to Paramedics ?

Definately check with local laws on what you can do off-duty.

My off-duty jump kit has basically the following:

C-collars x(2 adult, 1 pedi)

Instant Hot and Cold packs x(1 hot, 2 cold)

Sam Splints x2 (also used to hold the shape of the bag :lol: )

Blood Pressure Cuff

Flashlight & Penlight

Box of gloves

Bio-bag x2

Convenience Bag (aka Barf Bags) x2

Thermal Blanket

Wire Splint

Shears

OB Kit

BVM x(1 adult, 1 pedi)

Pocket Face Mask

10cc Saline Flushes x10

Forceps

Misc. sized Kerlix gauze rolls

Misc. sized bandages (lots of 4x4's, some 5x9's, triangle, eye, abdominal, and other sizes as well)

N-95 masks x4

Tape (1" & 3")

few other minor things

EDIT: Forgot, also have a set of OPAs and I might put in some NPAs here soon
