I just bought a beater to get me through til I can afford to buy a new car...

I have a 1981 Toyota Corolla. I also have a 1996 Pontiac GrandAm that is broken down. I love my GrandAm but I'm gonna have to junk it. My mechanic told me it'd take over $2500 to get it to pass inspection.

I drive a 05 Ford Escape. It is my first NEW vehicle and although all the other EMT's and Firefighters give me crap about buying a smaller vehicle after all of the MVA's I have been on, I really like it. For the heavier jobs I have a 99 Ford F350 Turbo Diesel Crew Cab Shortbox. (That one is my baby.)

Jeeps baby, only a jeep for this guy.

89 Comanche to start, then upgraded to a 2000 TJ Sport w 31" tires.

Modifications to follow, as soon as I'm not below the poverty line anymore.

YEAH!!! JEEPS!!!

I was surprised at how well my 94 Isuzu Trooper does in the mud and snow. Haven't been stuck (well, seriously stuck) in it yet.

With gas at $2.45 a gallon, I'm happy to have a 91 Geo Metro as well. You know, the little 3 cylinder job? I do get laughed at a little trying to get in and out of it though. Don't think it was meant for 6' drivers.

In order of appearance:

1974 Ford Mustang (4 cylinder) (1980-1986)

1984 Oldsmobile Firenza Wagon (4 cylinder) (1986-1989)

1989 Toyota Corolla Altrac Wagon (4 cylinder) (1989-1998)

1998 Chevrolet Venture Minivan (6 cylinder) (1998-?)

All had/have emergency lights, the Olds and Toyota had an electronic siren. The Chevy has a manual control switch to a "motor driven" alarm type siren (not satisfactory but not enough space under the hood).
