So far just have what's in the article. He apparently waited for the Medic to arrive to assist the officers then was fired upon himself.

Tragic, pointless violence. Seems like an incredible loss of life over poaching. I can't believe that the suspected poacher opened fire on the police.

Does sound like the poacher ended up getting what he deserved though.
