Coloring books help, blank diagrams help, repetition.

Which ones are you having a problem remembering? When I was learning the wrist and ankle bones I actually wrote them out on my body and then when testing on it, it helped me to touch where the bones were to remember. There are also plenty of dirty acronyms out there to help you remember :)

Hitting your humerus bone isn't very funny

Every time you walk into a room. Show everyone your Jazz hands but yell Phalanges! Its annoying, but you'll remember them. Also is toes.

What we do when teaching is to write the names of all the bones on little tags with a string on them. Then we lay out our 5 ft 2 dimensional skeleton that we got at a close out at the bookstore for ten $$

we have the students reach into the pile and pull a bone tag and place it on the proper bone on the skeleton.

Helps to reinforce the placement.

Start with the major long bones and then move to the rest of the extremities and on to the thoracic structure.
