I'll put 500 bucks toward buying that poor woman a new car along with an apology on behalf of all the medics I know for the incompetence of the paramedic who couldn't remove the patients without cutting the car apart.

Well thats just FOOKED UP. The pt's were walking around and able to sit down in her car to get out of the weather.. Someone's crack will get buttered over this one. If the service had any smarts at all they would get her a new car for the good publicity it would bring.

"Here you are ma'am <<< for your kindness in helping strangers. The keys to a brand new holden."

make a big public relations coux out of it.

But they'll be wankers and leave her riding the tube.

It's quite a shame how there are EMS/FF/Rescue folks out there who make decisions based on what they want to do, and not what needs done. I've safely pulled people out of damaged cars, with more serious injuries, and I personally have been seriously injured and pulled out of a vehicle. This, from the information we've received in the news report, shows a very serious lack of professional discretion.

Let me phrase this more appropriately, how there are SOME***, the way I phrased it, accidentally discredited the industry...my apologies!
