We have a sprauge in the big green pack but honestly I don't like them, never have.

The Classic II SE is great, its inexpensive (mine cost me $100 or there abouts), as Trev said it fits snugly and provides very clear sounds with both the bell and diaphragm, and it looks good too (unlike its user!)

The classic SE is where I started. Sturdy scope. Very nice. Our school bookstore sells them at a very reasonable price, if you have hearing issues, look into something a bit better.

I only have to hear the breath sounds being equal and present and for stridor, etc.

Most can hear that with a cheap one, I couldn't hear breath sounds at all.

I agree with ParamedicMike. The cheaper Sprague is good for school. I've had 2 Stehoscopes stolen so I stick with the Sprague. I've been an EMT for 6 yrs and havent had any problems. But it's really preference.
