So you have a renal patient that has had both legs amputated above the knee, and she has had both breasts removed due to cancer. You are called to the dialysis clinic because she is unresponsive, where do take a blood pressure at?

I would go for the arm in the usual spot. Everything else is basically irrelevant and just a distraction.

So you would use arm even though double mastectomy, I guess I should have also stated shunt in left arm sat bicep

Not much else you can do, bad luck for her, but if that`s the way it is you can`t change it.

Course you could go for invasive blood pressure in the last instance, if you`re able to do it and your monitor supports that feature.

In this case, you don't have much of a choice. The right arm it is. Lymphedema sucks, but it's better than death. I would save the fistula at all costs as the pt is going to need it.

As Doc said right arm it is and there isn't much else you can do in the situation. Need the BP to help figure out what we have going on.
