celticcare Posted February 10, 2011 Share Posted February 10, 2011 That I wish was what some of my calls ran like when I was an EMD. Most of the kids I got calling were prank callers saying they were going to kill us. Seems the calmest though are either the kids or the very elderly, and the concern of what the paramedics will see them in too lol. Thanks for posting, has made my day. tcripp Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 While in school, we took a field trip to CTECC (Austin's operation center and EMS dispatch operations) where we sat and listened to quite a few recorded 911 calls. Interestingly enough, the calls that were more calm in nature were those from children. Dispatcher said she'd rather deal with the kid callers...every time. Now, when I'm teaching a CPR class I'll be sure to teach that if you have a child around, have them call 911 while you begin CPR. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
