Bird Avian ventilators

The company I work for recently upgraded to Bird Avian ventilators. The training received from the vendor was somewhat limited.

Is there anyone out there that has any leads for training aids/sites specific to these ventilators? They look like they would be good ventilators but I'm somewhat fearful using with little knowledge.

Thanks in advance for your help...

Specs in the link above.

The major make or break point is less about the ventilator and more about the level of education you received and comfort level. Clearly, you have identified the primary problem here. Focus on obtaining comprehensive education and learn the specifics of this ventilator.

Take care,

chbare.

If your not trained with the Ventilator and something happened to a patient when you placed the patient on it, YOU would be liable as would your managers.

Just an idea .. drop into your local hospital go chat with an RRT, and do a walkabout in an ICU too, its far better than squeezing a bag for long transports and better for the patient.

I have used this ventilator extensively its solid piece of kit but very dated, that's why your operation purchased it is my bet, really no way one can teach on line for this.

cheers
