well I am not an EMT yet so can't say I use one on the job either.

but grew up on a mini-farm so always had one then and don't think I would change that

they don't take up much room and would hate to see the day that I needed one and forgot it at home

Sir Andrew

The Fire Department. Tools by definition!

Never had the need for one, especially not for a saw feature. What are you cutting off, pt. extremities?!?

And yes, AK, you are a weirdo...............

Well like I said I am not an EMT yet so don't really use one that way

but have used them for years around the house and mini-farm

such as cut wire, tree limbs and stuff like that and to work on the lawn tractor.

and since I am so used to having one around I just dought I would change that once I became an EMT. may not use it much then but I bet I would still carry it with me

I didn't really have a single multi-purpose tool. Back in the day  I did have a holster. I carried trauma scissors, a window punch, forcepts, tweezers, bandage scissors, medium size buck knife, I think that was about it. I know now they have different gadgets and ways of carrying them.

I can say that I did have a decent Swiss Army knife, but actually didn't carry it too often.

Now I do know how some guys had everything from small pliers to wire cutters.
