Any EMS agencies out there carrying tasers?

None that I know of. EMS personal already have enough problems with the electricity that they do carry. There's been too many shocking experiences in the past number of years than there already should have been.

I work in a rural area where the sheriff's office can be up to an hour away. (between 0400 and 0800 they have no-one on duty) some of the crew have requested that the EMS dept purchase tasers. I dont really want to be on the forefront of this one.

I seriously doubt that the State EMS Office would allow you to carry them. Before you look any further I would give someone in Olympia a call. Also has this been ran by your MPD?

I know of a service that carries a shotgun. Another keeps pepper spray.
