I consider myself a decent EMT, but, without the proper training of a paramedic, to assume paramedic duties, Inspector "Dirty" Harry Callahan, of the San Francisco Police Department said it best

So easy a basic could do it.

If I were a paramedic under his command I would demand he be fired for insulting my profession. If not fired I would resign. No one with any self respect would tolerate being talked down about like that.

& yes it seems politically motivated which is pathetic when pt care is SUPPOSED to come FIRST

& honestly i dont see basics handling als calls all that well theyre not trained for it properly hence why medics complete the training ... :roll:

it boggles the mind all it is is VOTE FOR ME

they need to get a grip on reality
