  1. Don't you mean FF "backdoor" exam :tongue2: Promotional my :bootyshake:
  2. You'll have your bachelors so you'll go in as a commissioned officer. If you're interested in medicine then look into the pararescueman from the USAF. Talk to a recruiter for all the details. It's a hard course though. I looked into it but I can't do it because I'm a girl  Good Luck
  3. I don't think the question is whether faith and medicine mix or not. The question is should faith complicate or impede on patient care. You could have your faith but if you allow that to interfere with patient care then you are betraying your faith and the practice of medicine. A good example is some of the Hatzolah units here in NYC. I've witnessed Hatzolah units not treat a patient based simply on the fact that the patient was not hasidic. (And no it's not true of all Hatzolah units, so relax) I've also witnessed a muslim doctor refuse to treat a man because he was gay. The bottom line is do your job, and if your faith takes precedence over your patient then become a preacher.
  4. To the hearing Impaired Here's a thought... do you want to be a medical professional because you have a passion for it or are you doing it just to prove that you can. If it's the latter, then you could have super hearing and you would never succeed. If you're doing it because it's what you truly want to do then go for it, but do it knowing that you will have a lot of obstacles to overcome. Also keep this in mind, not all obstacles are meant to be surmounted.
  5. Step up to the plate. Make a few phone calls, you did do an interview right? Anyway good luck and be a little more aggressive next time around
  6. Also, it's who you know and how they feel about helping you out. I has a friend who was a member of a VAC, she knew a few people and was able to ride along with FDNY EMS on a HazTac Unit. But try it anyway, if you get a recommendation from someone in EMS that you know (with connections or not) you may stand a chance. Good Luck
