  1. In a world that is so full of negitive feedback the good gets overlooked so many times. I agree with the two previous posters, send the letter to his supervisor.
  2. Marib my advice to you is go to a paid service. Volley is good for a past time thing but not much else. I am not sure what state you are in but if you go through a college program there are grants to help you. good luck
  3. Kudos to you for wanting to learn more. I am all about education knowledge is power.
  4. In all my years of EMS work, I have never had anyone nasally intubate nor have I ever used nasal intubation in a code. I am old school the only way I would ever had considered that would be last resort to save a life. Apparently from your senerio there was no chance of that. Is there anything in his medical history that might explain that? I would also like to know the medications he was on. Those last questions deal with the trimsmus. The brain was working faster than the fingers.
  5. Its always sad to hear about a fallen brother or sister. My greatest sympathy to the family and friends that he left behind.
  6. See I did it again... The thank you was for the welcome you extended me to the city, The other was for whoever made the post about the punctuation.
  7. Oh my goodness I am the worlds worse at punctuation. I am the person who finds inspiration in cooking their families and their dog! Thank you Richard B
  8. Thank you D-Fib I wish I had found this site when I was active in EMS there is alot of useful information here.
  9. I am still lurking and reading and exploring the forums. Even though I am old and retired I still like to keep up with what is going on in my passion err in the EMS world.
  10. Bringing Out The Dead is awesome. As far as tv shows Rescue Me
  11. What kind of clinicals do EMT"s do in the elementary school? I am OLD school we did them on the back of the fred flintstone car and in the ED. Opps I forgot my manners being new here myself, i think the proper thing to do is say welcome?
  12. Listen to your instructor stay focused and read the chapter and read it again, Do not be afraid to ask questions if there is something you do not understand, the instructor cant eat you. Get a good study buddy, studying with a friend from class often gives you a new out look on things. Best of luck to you on your education and keep on going with your education the sky is the limit,
  13. Am I missing something here... I thought that was what pockets were for,...
  14. I would like to know what was going on in that guys head. This woman shows great control kudos to her.
  15. Take a good management class, work on your people skills that is a very imporant part of being a manager, you have to have a back bone to not let people run over you. I was in management for a while, you think being on the street is stressful just wait till you become a manager, your stress level along with every vital sign you have will increase. I wish you luck on your quest.
