  1. University of Pittsburgh has a GREAT Emergency Medicine Bachelor's degree. You can focus in Critical Care, Management or Education. They will get you your EMT and your EMT-P, and a B.S. degree. Plus you get to work in some of the best hospitals in the U.S. I would imagine that the program could not ethically shun non-US citizens (it's YOUR money anyways). You are taught by some of the best physicians as well. Good luck!
  2. The lack of a response I suppose should answer my question.
  3. Hello ladies and gentlemen: I am a new AEMT student. I want some more advanced skills and preparation for medic school, and I felt this would be a good step before applying to schools. That being said, I have some questions about the practicality of being an AEMT in Colorado. Any Colorado residents have any idea if there are even AEMT JOBS in Colorado? From what I hear (rumors from the rabble at school) I will not have any AEMT protocols to work under in this state, and I will effectively be an EMT.
  4. Wouldn't you first need to seek licensing by your county in order to seek Medical Direction? I know in my state the county licenses ambulances and programs. I'd imagine you'd need to adopt protocols and float some kind of application their way in order to seek some kind of Medical Direction. Might be a place to start!
