  1. Hello, I was also a Rescue Cadet for many years! I started when I was 15 yrs. old, I'm now 22 yrs. and still enjoying rescue more than ever! Send me a message, and we'll chat. (I was also envoled in a explorer program w/ a level one trauma center) Hope to hear from ya! ~emt630 8)
  2. Don't laugh people. In some Rural departments (in a state that will remain nameless) the mullets are still very much alive... Its a very scary thing. And Bald can be beautiful, just as long as you can grow it back!!!
  3. In the district that I volunteer for, we took them off the trucks many years ago. But to my surprise, the district that I'm working in (very, very rural VT) not only has them on their trucks, but has them in many of their protocols... Not even sure if I would actually take the time to put them on a pt. due to the transport times we would be facing, and lack of training I have on them...
  4. I guess Ace is just a really good name! All the great ones are named Ace, at least that's what my puppy and I both think!!!
  5. We were going to name our dog Tomar, or Whelen!!! But we named him Ace instead. 8)
  6. When you both keep an extra set of gear in each other's cars/Jeep!!! (Just in case)
  7. It depends on what part of town the call is in. (and how fast the driver decides to go  ) It can range from 20-45 minutes (20-35 minutes just to get to the scene) (we have made it to the hospital in 15 minutes before.....). Some calls doesn't seem that long and others feel like we won't ever get to the hospital...
