  1. Thank you all so much for the advice! Im not expecting a job diretly out of school, especially since I will be heading in to Paramedic school the semester after I am done with EMT. But there will always be that "first job" and having a kick ass resume will help me, I am sure! Thank you again!
  2. It would be GREAT if you could email me your template and even a copy of your resume so I could get an idea of what it looks like! I start EMT schooling in August and won't be certified until December, so it will be awhile till I have to make one, but I want to be totally ready to apply for jobs as soon as I certify!! My email is amandastegmanhughes@gmail.com. Thanks again!!
  3. Hey! I am 19 years old and starting EMT in August with my husband, James (21). Both of us are taking the EMT/Paramedic classes together, and then will part ways with my RN bridging to be a NICU RN and him continuing with Fire Academy and CareFlite classes to become a Firefighter and a CareFlite Paramedic! I am extremely excited about EMT and Paramedic. I used to have a weak stomach, but once I started getting involved with the EMT community and making myself watch autopsies and medical shows, it doesn't bother me so much anymore I am hoping to hear others experiences and struggles with EMT and Paramedic classes! Thanks!
  4. I have been doing job searches for EMT's in my area (Dallas/Ft Worth) and find that alot want a resume. I was wondering if anyone has made a kickass resume for their first EMT job out of EMT schooling? What did you include on it? What kind of template did you use? Any advice or suggestions on making a really eye-catching resume when you don't have any prior EMT experience other than your clinicals? Thanks!
