  1. Since you want to stay on the subject... only reason I even said anything was because she called me out about her online course. So yes with the amount of GRAMMAR errors I noticed I was wondering if that flew in her online EMT program. And yes I made a mistake also so don't get bent out of shape.
  2. An excuse? Sorry Mike but I have nothing to prove to you. My point was that English being my second language I do tend to make mistakes here and there and I'll be the first to admit it. But, I doubt you know anything about that. Yes sir! I apologize.
  3. Actually yes, and seeing that English is my second language I do my best.
  4. Do they have you check grammer before turning in assignments?
  5. Hmm well thats no bueno. I guess just call them Monday if you can't find the ORI number anywhere on the website I'm sure they can tell you over the phone. And you can get your other livescan form when you pickup the ambulance app from the DMV. If they are open Monday lol
  6. You get the livescan form online from whichever agency you will be applying to. The ORI number will be on the form once you download it. You will need a seperate livescan for your ambulance driver certificate also so i suggest doing both at the same time.
  7. Never heard of an online EMT course. I Would be quite concerned if there was one also. The current training is inadequate enough already.
  8. Thanks for the info. Never crossed my mind to try and search this before I started a new thread. Will keep this in mind for future posts. Embarrassing!
  9. I just stumbled upon this investigative news story on
  10. I would prefer that babies be left with medical personnel rather than a dumpster in an alley. Which still happens even with the "Safe Haven" law.
  11. I'm sure like all places we have our good/bad apples working in the field. From my own experience CA is great place to persue a career in EMS. I'm fortunate to be given the opportunity to work with the hard working medics that we do have.
  12. Well here in California, you need 1200 hours of EMT experience before you can even apply to a medic program. I assume other states don't require the experience?
  13. Not at the time. 14. William, my class used the same txt book. I would recommend using the internet study guide that comes with your textbook (brady resource central). I will find my syllabus to give you an idea on how our course was structured. I shall get back to you soon.
  15. Thanks! I forgot I had uploaded that picture. I'm thinking its way too big so I'll fix that... We got a flat during my field clinicals responding down a dirt road to a nose bleed call. I got to treat while another unit came to transport MY patient! lol
  16. Welcome! I have yet to introduce myself to the community. My name is Caleb and I'm an EMT-B from Southern California. -Happy Thanksgiving
  17. Definitely don't miss anymore sessions. Its a class that requires a lot of studying... I just finished my EMT-B last semester so feel free to hit me up with questions.
