  2. Okay, okay, not exactly "walked," but were let off with 30 days community service. Close enough.

  4. “Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.” ~ George Washington "I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." ~ Thomas Jefferson “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. The jaws of power are always open to devour, and her arm is always stretched out, if possible, to destroy the freedom of thinking, speaking, and writing. Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the People, who have… a right, an indisputable, unalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge, I mean the characters and conduct of their rulers. There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free ‘government’ ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty. Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among people.” ~ John Adams “It is the duty of every patriot to protect his country from its government” ~ Thomas Paine

  11. Not to worry; there may soon be a job-opening for him with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
  12. Because they're both familiar with this kind of behavior as routine for him?
  13. Police Sergeant Mark White: "Sitting on a log by the side of the road[1] earlier in the day ... approaching females along the riverbanks and along Washington Mill Road with the intent to show off his swimsuit to get a reaction out of them."[2] Vigilant citizen: "Yes, definitely glad the police caught him ... hopefully it's a safer place[3] right now." Reporter: "And - wow! - that is something all [4]of us have been saying, and now police say that he will be charged with 5 counts of public indecency and 3 counts of menacing. They say at no point did he threaten physical harm to anyone, but of course all of this made them very uncomfortable."[5] And that, Gentlemen of the Jury, is - wow! - his crime. 1 - That'll teach you to sit on a log, you... you... log-sitter, you! 2 - Unlike everyone else in a swimsuit, right? 3 - Safer from...? 4 - All? 5 - Ah, the answer to [3]. Case closed. Moral of the Story: a) Someone doesn't know enough to use a taser when opportunity knocks; the terrorists have won. They've certainly won when you can't type the letter "b" followed by a ")" without putting on sunglasses.

  15. Uh, it's not protocol yet. Again, it wouldn't seem that way if you'd followed the protocol. How does the formula go? With alcohol, he thinks he's driving at 35 mph when he's actually doing 80; with cannabis he thinks he's doing 50 mph when he's really doing 6.
  16. Better, thanks, though the first one would have been just as satisfying if I'd followed the protocol in the second.
