  1. This sounds like one of those oddball situations where there was something in the Isagenix that would make her depleted in some nutrient or some herbal supplement reacted with her funky. I looked up Isagenix, but couldn't find much info on it....
  2. In case they aren't killed with the first bullet, I'll buy any extras that are needed above the 70k.
  3. *Clapping for Dwayne* Thank you for another vote in the "Voice of Reason" category! Instead of judging on the negatives, lets up the positives, right? Awesome.
  4. And the clouds part, the angels sing......**Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!** Bingo!
  5. No problem, I apologize sincerely! I will admit that I am....um....un-intelligent when it comes to that. I was pretty heated too....lol
  6. There is another city that I know of that does this. They go off of a point scale, and you automatically receive extra points right off the bat if you are a minority of any sort. Female? Extra points! Learning disability? Extra points! Mexican? Lesbian? Oriental? Other disability? Missing a limb? Extra points! Drives me nuts.... I'm sorry, but I don't care if you are black, white, male, female, muslim, catholic, jewish, underweight or overweight, as long as you can save me from a burning building, a car accident, or a murderer, I don't care who or what you are. It should go to the most QUALIFIED person, no matter who they are. Sorry, just my .02.
  7. TOTALLY. It was like a light bulb went off when I was watching the candidates during their tests. Helped me out 110%!
  8. Our city supplies us with a jump kit (you're lucky if it's not all outdated and it's still filled with LATEX gloves,) a windbreaker, and a winter-type coat. While I am VERY appreciative of what has been given to us, I wish that we could supply us with more useful things like even just a t-shirt and pants so that we could look more professional. A lot of times the EMT's show up in jeans, t-shirt, and tennis shoes....and that's on a good day!
  9. Hey all! My name is Theresa and I am a current EMT-B student. Not sure where I want to go from here, as I have almost 14 years in pharmacy (as a CPhT) and have much more of the hands on desire than pharmacy limits me to! My dad was a Paramedic for a large city, so growing up we had a LOT of stories to hear. (Of course, we only got to hear the "good" ones when we were older! lol) Unsure if I want to stay in EMS (around here is mostly just volunteer for Basics) and continue on and get my Paramedic, or go on to nursing school, or....who knows! lol Born and raised in Minnesota, now living in Kansas. Have 2 kids, and now live in a little town, and I love it! Much different than the BIG city! Looking forward to hearing about all of your experiences, knowledge, and opinions that you have to share! -T
