Same here in same remote areas, where they struggle to fill in their vacant GP posts - get promised alot, from benefits during their studies to large sums, pieces of lands... And a dentist?

We carry MCP and Xomolix, but seldomly use the latter, it`s pretty new too. Would love to carry Vomex (Dimenhydrat), everybody seems to love it.

Unfortunately, that`s what we/humans mostly do - we judge the character of the person from the impression we get on the only encounter we have with them. @OP: You can think what you want, but I`d advise you to be careful to whom you present your thoughts, especially if they take the form of some of the recent comments... That drunk you encounter lying on the boardwalk at night, covered in his own filth, vomitting, speaking incoherently - he might have suffered tragic circumstances; he might have only spent a night out with this buddies and couldn`t keep up; he might have been thrown into the unforgiving spiral many alcoholics have encountered. Or he might have not, Does it matter? Not really, at least it shouldn`t, reffering to your treatment. Do I always question the path a patient choose and the reasons he had to choose it, which led him to our encounter? `Course not. But I think it`s important to at least realize, that there`s often so much more to the story, than you could ever grasp in that little time you spent with your patient. Is it enough to make a valid judgement? Nope. Does that refer to everyday-life as well? Yes. Is it possible to (always) withhold a subjective personal judgement? Nope. But I think it`s important to realize that the small intake you gather by observing a flicker of the time of a life of a person, ain`t enough to build an objective judgement.

Yeah, I`m really looking forward to the Creative Writing course, there are actually two big one`s: Creative Writing and Advanced Creative Writing. I guess I`ll take them both. You writing a novel? That`s awesome! Have you written much else, besides the novel?

That`s cool. Yeah, the Open Universities literature degree used to be broader too, but from now on, they will solely focus on English Literature. Not a bad thing though, you can choose different modules aside from your vocational one`s, so you can still specify yourself on what you´re more interested in (19th century, 20th century, creative writing, etc.).

That`s why I would have brought her in. But I wouldn`t have examined her genital area, as we`re mostly manned man/man (what a phrase ) and we don`t do it here anyways. Frankly Kiwi, that was more like a Dr. House scenario, ala "Every Patient lies" - fair enough and might be true to some extent, but you`re going to have a hard time to prove every one of them.

Hm... it`s really a lot of text up there so I just had a quick go over it. Just something I think has not been covered yet: Is she still equipped with her appendix and what does it feels like (and pain score) when you touch the McBurney point?

Around here, you even loose your drivers license if you`re riding your bike while being shitfaced (to be precise: over 1,6 alcohol level). Of course, we have a more relaxed relation (lawfully) when it comes to drinking anyways. Wine and beer - 16 yrs. upwards. Everything else - 18yrs. upwards. When I was in my teens, we could even smoke with 16, but since then they`ve increased it to 18 years.

Yeah, I hope to be able to do that. I`m not sure about assignments and essays, for I hate it when I have to start all over again and get into thought process again, but textbooks and set literature for sure.

Yeah, let`s see how it all turns out in the end. ...but I should propably tell you right know - I always win at rock-paper-scissors...

To OP: Could you possibly paint a more visual picture on how you imagine the game to look in the end, regarding interface, interactions, graphics, etc.? Because I`m having a hard time imagining it at the moment. Will it be more like a quiz?

Hm... I`m not sure to be honest, but the british job market seems to be pretty open, they tell that around 60% of graduate jobs aren`t linked to a specific degree, so you can do alot of different things (apart from the obvious specific-degree-linked ones like science and such). I love the possibility of conversion courses, like 1 year postgraduate teachers training, 1 year psychology/law conversion, postgraduate entry medicine - there just seem so many possibilities, which is really amazing, for the german job market/the HE is really rather stiff and unflexible. So, I dunno, as said above, let`s see where this leads me. I`d like something to do with writing...possibly? Might as well end up still working EMS after all, but I guess I`ll enjoy it and right now I just feel like I at least need the opportunity to do something different to feel comfortable.

As above. If you want something answered or assistance/collaboration in a homework/coursework that you need to do, it would at least be a show of good manners to introduce you and your request. As stated by the others, depending on what you`re doing this interview for, the answers may vary, leaving aside that without narrowing down the specific questions, you would get countless of different answers anyways depending on certain factors of the contributors.

Lol, now that`s just style! I dunno, I`m not really familiar with the whole concept of LODD - I mean, we have them here too, but I thing you guys ritualize them alot more (which is kinda nice), So, without much thinking about it - I`d say yes. I mean, in the end, they did what they were supposed to do: putting out that fire.

So, I posted a while back about my possible plans of studying Paramedic Science/Practice in Great Britain. I did apply for some of these courses, recieved interviews for two of them, but even before getting the interview dates, I decided to withdraw from that plan, to try out something else. I`ve always been interested in reading and writing and had this always in the back of my mind. So I randomly searched for distance learning courses on the internet, without a specific plan at first. I found this distance-learning University which sounded really nice and after weighing up my options and trying to figure out what I really wanted/want to do (I`m always a little bit undecided and the process still hasn`t ended), I decided to start a BA English Literature. I`ll do it through distance-learning, so I`ll still be working full-time EMS for the time being. It`ll also be alot cheaper than studying at a brick uni and I`ll be able to support myself financially while studying, so I don`t need to take a loan or anything (something I had a really bad feeling about when thinking about doing the Para at a brick uni). Regardless of that, I`ll still try to get my german title accredited with the HPC, which would be great if it worked out, as it would enable me to work as a Para in the UK (which would be really cool and it doesn`t really matter where you are when you study through distance-kearning, which is the great thing). I`m still a litlle bit unsure about the whole thing, but I really want to try this out for now, for I feel like I`ll never do it if not now, you know. My first course will start in April, and I`m already really excited. I don`t really know where this will lead me in the end, nevertheless I think this is the right thing to do for now, and ultimately it will open a lot of new opportunities for me, regardless of wether I`ll take them or not. Just thought I`d let you all know (although some already do through chat).

Hm... make sure they don`t have a coffee collecting register anyway. Around here, we pay 5 bucks each per month and drink as much as we can (literally ).

Around here, it`s something to eat (sandwiches or pastries or something) if you start a new job, end the job and if you`re around long enough, every year on your birthday. Just how it is. When I did my clinicals and my ride-alongs, I would always bring something like that around in the last shift on that ward/station (didn`t really make sense to give something out when starting, too, for mostly it were only 4-5 week rotations). Guess that should be enough. That said - you don`t strictly NEED to bring anything, it`s just a way of manners in my eyes and showing that you appreciated the time, you know. That said, I wouldn`t habitually pay coffee for anyone, since that would (in my eyes) overdo it (and frankly, I wouldn`t take something like that from a student I`d preceptor).

I dunno, pronounce the single letters in the usual way it`s done in the English language?
