  1. Gotta weigh in on this one, I know that people make mistakes however drinking and driving is not one that, in my opinion, should be forgiven, its a choice to drive and take the chance on killing innocent people on the roads, how many of you reading this have run that call? You know you have, the dead family while the guy who made the "mistake" sits on the guard rail like nothing happend, I wish you well in whatever you do however, I dont feel you should ever be certified to drive an ambulance....just my .02.....
  2. If you dont use it you lose it sir.....bettering yourself is what we all strive to accomplish however you must remain true to yourself and spend time on the street, how else can you really teach the upcoming paramedics how to do something? You can make it all work if you want it just takes a little bit of planning is all....you will figure it out, best of luck!!!
  3. Is this some kind of sick joke? This is hands down without question the most rediculous thing I have ever read concerning what a paramedic does.....I dont even know what to say about this.....
  4. Kyle, you have applied with no success for 6 months so now your going to go to paramedic school? Have you considered moving or looked into EMS jobs elsewhere? Dont set yourself up to fail..........
  5. get on a MICU somewhere and do what you have trained to do, you didn't go to nursing school or MA school or CNA school you went to MEDIC school....PARAMEDIC means outside the hospital, I speak on this to you because I made that horrible mistake, yes a little bit more money, however you get the privilige of doing everything the nurse doesn't want to do, advice to you....PASS on this and get on the box
  6. clinical time does not give you the experience working as a EMT does, I think if you are going to do this job the best that you can you should take your time and not try to rush through it. You have to crawl before you walk so to speak but good luck I hope it works out for you....
  7. Hey Rav, Im curious to know what article it is that you are referring to by bledsoe, I had a conversation with him not a week ago over much of this same topic and the consensus I got was very different. Can you post me a link to that article or maybe some more information as to where I can find it, thanks in advance
  8. Going to have to agree with John here, valid point as it may be, the idea of Oxygen in any amount being enough to even temporarily fix an anemic state is almost obsurd, If your patient needs oxygen give it to them wow what a post
