  1. i didn't mean to be encourageable. we don't want that. I take the opinions with great thanks. i have enjoyed this alot. I guess i'm to far off of center to have a clue. thanks
  2. thanks to all for the food for thought. my biggest issue is when I jump on a truck with the county. I see medic with (god like) skill and the experince to match yet for the most part they are just going through the motions. that is something that both saddens me and leaves me worried that I will loose the heart for the job. no matter how small my footprint in this world may be that is an unacceptable outcome to me.
  3. thanks for the insight. as for skills with 20 calls a yr it's hard to keep sharp so i ride with the county 1-2 times a month which helps some. I enjoy the setting yet the call volume is lacking. I find it hard to even put myself in the same cat. as you guys with all i'm lacking. and after 5yrs i still feel like i just got my card.
  4. not to downplay the situation but it was your job! With that said I commend you on your self sacrifice to your profession and the people you serve. thank you
  5. new here too! I'm an industial emt-B/rescue tech in a little known place called south carolina. Nothing fancy just slow going.
  6. i'm an industrial emt-B from the get go. good or bad I run 20 or so calls a year. Stubbed toes to amputation for 5yrs and the so called rush is still alive and well. good and bad.
