  4. some of my partners have rode the rail and haven't flipped it, but they were small guys. our company has some larger mods that have room to move around the pt. on both side and i have been known to sit on the counter so that i'm in a better position for compressions. the only thing that i can offer is to do what works. around here you can hear it in the bays and in the front office "adapt and overcome" use your head and do what works, without taking risks that you are not comfortable with.
  5. Yeah If you want one of ours let me know so i can get one from V2.
  6. Hello, My name is Will, the company that I work for is going to be hanging a "patch board" near our station's class room and since EMT city has brought us some good information and interesting topics to talk about we would like to offer you a chance to exchange patches. if anyone is interested please PM or send an e-mail to talada_william@gvems.org

  8. "Normal people run away from fire you two run in with a garden hose and a rake........ WTF" unknown white helmet at the scene of a structure fire
  9. for volly EMS yes a company t-shirt is acceptable as a uniform anytime of the day. paid please atleast be presentable even when responding from home your districts expect a higher level of professionalism from you. i was on a ALS intercept with my medic we tossed our gear in the back of the squad's truck and i noticed the "tech" in charge was wearing a miller t-shirt. i think that just makes my point
  10. take it.... leave one disgruntled medic
  11. queen- another one bites the dust. the medics last nite this week

    nextel

Nextel sucks period we use them to dispatch our non emergency. they lose service often the direct connect dosen't work half the time. your better off sending smoke signals.

  14. In the company i run EMS with we have a simple system and it 's approved by out insurance in PA Ambulance 18= to drive and pratice and 21 to drive the paratransit van. in my oppinion and i know oppinions are like assholes... but a person who has completed their precepting properly is fit to command a small scale incident such as a two car MVA but a large scale incident involving other agencies should be left to the more experianced crewmember due to the fact that young pepole are usuly new and haven't gotten a chance to see the local customs.
