  1. Welcome back everyone! Good to see you guys on here...
  2. Hi everyone! With the latest update to the, the mobile version of the site acts like an app on your phone. To add EMT city to your phones home screen, follow the directions below: iPhone: Launch Safari on your ‌iPhone‌ or ‌iPad‌. Navigate to emtcity.com. Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen. (If you don't see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you'll be able to select it from the Share Sheet.) Android Launch “Chrome” app. Open emtcity.com. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to homescreen. You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen. Hopefully this will promote new posts and new activity on the site.
  3. It's not new. It't been happening since we started in the late 90's when we started this.
  4. This is very sad news. I always enjoyed his posts. My deepest sympathy to his friends and family.
  5. It is nice to see all the old faces. Perhaps now is the time for the students to become the teachers. There are plenty of new providers that need the wisdom that you all have gained over the years. Stick around. Make this your home again. Post something interesting and welcome the rebuttals and questions. Engage in others and make them think, and let them return the favor. EMT City has been around for a long time and it is because of the members like you that we are still here. I thank you for that and I look forward to seeing your posts.
  6. No criticism was taken. I am open to ideas on how to increase activity, but as you said, it is not just us but all other interactive forums across all specialties.
  7. Facebook is a very big reason. I hope that as facebook becomes more polluted with ads and useless filler that more people with search out a home for conversations with substance. Barring sending a postcard to every EMT in America, I don't know the solution.
  8. If there is a concern about posts, you are welcome to report it. That would be the preferred route instead of in a post.
  9. I nice mention of emtcity.com in the book would be nice.
  10. Hi. Although politics are not for everyone, this area was designed for those that want to discuss politics and other items not EMS related. Many of the members here have other interests besides EMS and what better place to discuss them than with people you already know from other discussions. I welcome you to join in or perhaps find a different topics that you enjoy and post.
  11. Try Activity - Unread Content. The latest update changed the button to a menu item I think.
  12. I agree. I have seen the visits increasing lately. We have automatic posting of teasers on Facebook whenever there is a new post here. That has attracted some new members.
  13. Welcome back! I think you find that the atmosphere is different lately. I think Facebook allows everyone to vent and here is a place for good discussion. Jump back in. It takes one post to make a ripple.
  14. I think what would help is if users would start new topics. I have changed a few things that should help. New topics are now posted on our facebook page and clicking the snippet brings you right to the site. This will increase the visitors. Good content started by users will hook them and engage them. It is a slow process, but I think it will be a start.
  15. Issue should be resolved. Please let me know if it is still acting up.
