I am an EMT Intermediate of 15 years. I have had several very GOOD medics as partners. We work as a team, and have a wonderful partnership. We don't ALWAYS agree on EVERYTHING, but we take care of our PT. with the best of care. I would personally NEVER question my partner on the scene unless this was something I knew was going to be devastating to the patient. That stuff can wait!!! Two heads are ALWAYS better than one and lets remember, it takes BOTH of us to do the call. I am blessed with a great medic to work with, keep up the good work!!!!!

Just read your forum. I am not sure about other places, but where I am employed it would definitely need to be a wait till it was cleared!!!! Especially no longer than it's been. They would more than likely NOT hire you due to this if it was still on record. Like I said, I am sure it depends on the company too. Good Luck!!!!!

I know what you mean!!! We responded to a call early one AM to a house for "male bleeding". When we arrived we found this 50"sa aged male lying supine in his bathtub (naked) covered with blood. Blood was EVERYWHERE!!!! In his be ALL the way in the bathroom. Now, this bathroom was SAO small that one person could barely turn around in it. I am thinking, "How in the world are we gonn get this guy out"!!! Well after a second or 2 of thinking (maybe more lolo) we finally decided to lift him out of the tub and we had just enough room to roll his wheelechair up to the tub. All we could do is man handle him out and into the chair backing our way out of the bathroom. He was bleeding from a post opt site. Well we got him transported, with help from our EMR'S. It was one of those that you just stood there with your hands on your hips for a few thinking, OMG!!!!

Hello, I am new to this site. I work in a rural area also. Our FD always responds with us on most all our calls. They are dispatched out with the tones, and we are very grateful to have their help. We have a very good work relationship with these guys and as you already know, extra help is ALWAYS appreciated. Our call volume has picked up extremely over the past few years. I can remember when I firts started as a Basic, we could go all day and maybe 1-2 calls. That's very rare now!!!
