  1. Thomas packs are awesome, once again a hefty price for us where the $ is 8 times our currency! I purchased one recently when it was introduced to the south African market. Great to work with and excellent quality, it has taken a punch with all the calls its done and although it has a lifetime warranty it is not worth my while sending it all the way to the states for minor repairs. I had to change the IV fluids bag, didnt hold enough fluids but the Intubation bag was perfect and is a great concept.
  2. COMBITUBES- they are a failed intubation drill and can certainly save your ass if u ever need one to complete your intubation. The cost of such a device in South Africa for instance is extremely expensive and prevents certain companies from issuing them. All we have left to do then after a failed intubation is a surgical criche!
  3. It is unfortunate that ambulance crews are forced to consider strike action. If the public and government dont understand the conditions and work stresses that paramedics face, what other options do we have to have our concerns voiced. Certainly the world would sit up and take notice after just 1 day of strike action but because of the devastation it would cause and deaths that would be related, it goes against what we believe.
