I am working on a high school report, about information security in the medical field (regarding HIPAA). I am looking into four states (New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and New Jersey). One of the topics I am talking about is what is stopping anyone from walking in and pretending to be an EMT or a paramedic. What type of identification do you have? For example in NJ an EMT card is a piece of paper (no real security there). I already have seen NY and NJ’s ID cards, and I am trying to see a sample of the CT and PA. If anyone has one, show me it I would be greatly appreciative. Also, if anyone else has any input in regarding this, I would love to hear from you Thank You.
