Kaisu, Had never heard of Lewis leads until your post. I retired out of 9-1-1 after 35 years and am now doing strictly inter-facility (ER in non-cardiac cath hosp to cath center, non-hemorrhagic CVA's to get their brain cath'd and such) so everyone is already diagnosed. While in the ER the other day picking up another patient, there were 2 ER docs discussing a patient with SVT and they were discussing if the P was in the T or not. I proposed the Lewis leads (which only 1 had ever used in the past), they tried it and it worked. Bottom line is there were P waves as determined by using the Lewis method (and the Docs think I’m brighter than I really am!). Thanks! Matt

Doug, What I see as your potentially biggest problem is keeping drugs and fluids at dispensable temperatures. Whatever you order it MUST have a separate (heated here in PA, cooled in the Kingdom) cabinet that is kept at temp using a shore line when vehicle is not in use such as; roasting in the station, (unless you are designing A/C for the bay) or sitting outside the Quickie mart (you’d love a Sheetz or a Wawa). Besides that you'll need a battery condition/charger to maintain portable suction and defib battery levels (also batteries in transport vent and IV pump if you use). If you do get a non-transport vehicle, and you decide to keep batteried (?) and temperature sensitive items in "go" bags, one of the things that has to be stressed is if it becomes a run around town truck, it ALWAYS has to be stocked for use, go bags and all. Would suck if a medic met the medic responder truck on scene and all the toys were at the station... The company I work for recently upgraded to Bird Avian ventilators. The training received from the vendor was somewhat limited. Is there anyone out there that has any leads for training aids/sites specific to these ventilators? They look like they would be good ventilators but I'm somewhat fearful using with little knowledge. Thanks in advance for your help...
