would like a break from "possible suicidal" calls for a few shifts, please. My compassion is wearing thin, especially at 0400. Updated 12 Jul · 4 comments

About Me

I'm a 28-year-old college grad and Army vet, having served 2 tours in Iraq as an air assault medic and by 3 months working rescue in New Orleans.  The ADHD posterchild, I've hopped around a bit since getting out of school and the Army, trying to figure out where and how to settle down.  Tried my hand in the professional world of orthotics & prosthetics, but have decided that it's not for me.  I need more variety in life, more hands -on interaction, less sitting at a computer...  ok, I'll admit it - more of an adrenaline rush. I've recently gotten my civilian paramedic license and am looking for the next adventure.

Grant Me:

• One opportunity to influence the course of history.
• The foresight to anticipate that opportunity.
• The conviction to plan for it.
• The fortitude to implement the plan.
• The intensity of action to make it work.
• The flexibility to change it when it won't.
• The loyalty to self to admit defeat.
• The humility owed to victory.
• The tenacity to continue.
